What Radiesse does, and what it will not do
Radiesse is made of tiny calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel. Placed under the skin, the gel gives immediate support. Over the following months, the microspheres prompt your skin to make its own new collagen, and your body gradually breaks them down. That is why Radiesse is called a biostimulator: most of the result is your own tissue.
Placed at full strength, Radiesse lifts and contours, for example along the jawline or in deep smile lines. Diluted with saline and lidocaine, it becomes hyperdilute Radiesse. The thinner mix spreads evenly under a wide area of skin, so it does less filling and more collagen building. The practice uses hyperdilute Radiesse to firm crepey skin on the neck, jawline and chest.
Hyperdilute Radiesse is a quiet treatment. The change is gradual, and what you notice over a few months is skin that looks thicker, smoother and firmer.
Is hyperdilute Radiesse FDA-approved?
Radiesse is FDA-approved for four uses: moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds such as smile lines, loss of jawline contour in adults over 21 (Radiesse (+)), volume loss on the back of the hands, and wrinkles on the chest (décolleté) in adults 22 and over when diluted 1:2 with saline. The chest approval is the only one for a hyperdilute mix. Using hyperdilute Radiesse on the neck, jawline, face or arms is off-label, and results vary.
Janeeh tells you at your consultation which parts of your plan are on-label and which are not.

Your Radiesse appointment, step by step
Consultation
Janeeh assesses the quality of your skin, how much laxity there is, and whether Radiesse, another treatment or a mix will get you furthest. You get your plan and total before treatment starts.

Follow-up
Collagen builds over the next few months.
“I love this place!! I've been coming since they opened and have done facials, 3 sessions of micro-needling, Botox etc. The environment is really welcoming. I see Janeeh and she's very thoughtful and calculated with recommendations (versus churn and burn with other chain med spas) so I feel taken care of.”
Pricing
How Radiesse pricing works
Your total depends on the area, whether it is full strength or hyperdilute, and how many sessions your plan needs. A neck and jawline take more product than hands. Janeeh gives you the total at your consultation, before treatment starts.

What is hyperdilute Radiesse?
Hyperdilute Radiesse is Radiesse mixed with saline and lidocaine so it spreads thinly under a wide area of skin. The thinner mix adds very little volume. Hyperdilute Radiesse is used mainly to prompt new collagen, which firms and thickens crepey skin on areas like the neck, jawline and chest over several months.
How long does Radiesse last?
Radiesse results can last 12 to 18 months, depending on the area treated and your metabolism. The calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres break down gradually over that time, as the new collagen they prompt builds up. Janeeh plans your maintenance Radiesse sessions around how your own skin responds.
Is Radiesse the same as hyaluronic acid filler?
Radiesse is a different material from hyaluronic acid filler. Radiesse is calcium hydroxylapatite, which adds structure and prompts your skin to make collagen. Hyaluronic acid filler adds soft, immediate volume and can be dissolved with an enzyme. Radiesse cannot be dissolved, so it suits the jawline, neck and chest better than the lips.
Is hyperdilute Radiesse FDA-approved for the neck?
Hyperdilute Radiesse is FDA-approved for chest wrinkles in adults 22 and over, and its use on the neck is off-label. Radiesse is also approved for facial folds, jawline contour and the backs of the hands. Off-label use is legal and common in aesthetics, and Janeeh explains the difference and what results to expect.
